Very much in the spirit of the 2009 beatles remasters campaign emi has extended the same loving care to their second most important british act pink floyd with a full on remastering and repackaging campaign called why pink floyd featuring their entire studio output 14 albums in all unlike the beatles various titles in the floyd canon have been revisited before.

This is the second batch of remastered titles released in groups of four but meddle is the first i have purchased on vinyl since the originals i mean.
Last year the division bell was re issued as part of the pink floyd 2016 remasters series with full length non edited tracks for the very first time on vinyl and remastered from the original analog master tapes by legendary mastering engineer doug sax at the mastering lab.
Originally the album was edited to make the tracks shorter in order.

Well crafted music full of artistic intent from start to finish.
However the one reissue avenue the floyd have seemed quite apprehensive of undertaking is a full on effort to release their entire studio catalogue on remastered audiophile worthy vinyl.
